In this video, author and mental health educator Douglas Bloch talks about his experience of witnessing how, for some people, stimulants that are used to treat attention deficit disorder can also help people with depression. A friend who uses ADD stimulants in this way hypothesizes that this is because in his case, they restore the executive function of his brain so that he can organize and plan is life, instead of feeling anxious because he can’t make a decision.
