Description: New technology with a specialized brain imaging method called PET (positron emission tomography) detects inflammation with great sensitivity. It’s now being applied to make discoveries in clinical depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. This has important implications for understanding the pathophysiology of these illnesses and improving treatments.
